How do I list my property for sale, rent, or as an auction?
Click "Post Listing" in the menu, choose whether it's For Sale or For Rent, then pick your Sale Method: Fixed Price or Auction. Fill in the property details, add photos, and publish. Auctions are only available for properties listed For Sale — you'll set a starting price plus a start and end date/time for bidding.
How does the auction feature work?
When you list a property as an auction, other signed-in users can place bids once it starts. Each new bid must be higher than the current highest bid (or the starting price, if there are no bids yet). Bidding closes automatically once the end date/time passes. If there's a winning bid, the seller and winning bidder are shown each other's contact details afterwards so they can arrange payment directly — auctions don't go through our in-app checkout.
Can I buy a property directly through the site?
Yes — Fixed Price listings marked "For Sale" have a "Buy Now" button that takes you through a secure checkout powered by Stripe. Rental listings and active auctions don't use this button; instead you can contact the seller directly or place a bid.
Is my payment information secure?
Yes. All Buy Now payments are processed by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment provider used by millions of businesses worldwide. We never see or store your card details.
How do I contact a seller or landlord?
Open any listing and use the "Contact Seller" button to send a message with your name, email, and phone number directly to the person who posted it. For auctions, once bidding has ended the winning bidder and seller can message each other the same way.
What currency are prices shown in?
Prices are shown in the currency the seller listed the property in, based on the country they selected when posting. Use the Currency button in the header to convert prices into your own currency for reference — this doesn't change the actual listing price or currency used at checkout.
Do listings need to be approved before they go live?
Newly published listings are reviewed before appearing in search results and browse pages, to help keep the marketplace free of spam and low-quality posts. This is usually quick, but if your listing doesn't appear immediately, check back shortly or reach out to support.
How do I save properties I'm interested in?
Tap the heart icon on any listing card or on a property's detail page to save it. You can find all your saved properties anytime under Dashboard → Saved Properties.
Is BuyAndSellHome free to use?
Browsing, searching, saving properties, and contacting sellers is completely free. You only pay when you use Buy Now to purchase a property directly through the site.
What does "Newly Built" vs "Used Property" mean?
This refers to the property's condition as set by the seller when listing it — "Newly Built" for new-construction properties, and "Used Property" for previously owned or lived-in properties. You can filter by condition in the Browse page sidebar.
